The Cocker Academy is a supportive online community of cocker owners.  We understand the joy of living with a cocker spaniel but also the challenges that can come with it.

The Cocker Academy provides clear, easy to follow videos and live support to guide you through training. Helping you to transform behaviour and enjoy life with your Cocker.

Watch and follow the training at both yours and your dog’s pace. Re-watch the videos as many times as you need to.

Meet the Team

I'm Emma, founder and trainer at The Cocker Academy and I specialise in working with owners of Cocker Spaniels and their crosses.  

I know what it's like to dream of having a Cocker you can take anywhere, enjoying walks and having an amazing bond with. Living with three Working Cockers I also know it's not always easy and we can feel there is a disconnect between what our Cockers are and what we believe they "should" be.

From my years of hands-on experience in training dogs combined with extensive knowledge gained from successfully passing courses, behaviour studies and seminars,  I realised one size training does not fit all. Really understanding our cockers and their needs I have created bespoke training to turn your crazy cocker into a wonderful, calm companion.

Helping Cockers and their owners is my passion and the reason I started The Cocker Academy.

This week we had 3 really lovely loose lead walks. Today I met an old friend for a walk. He hasn't seen milo for 9 months when he was rather unruly. Today milo was on best behaviour and he commented how different he was, he sniffed, checked in, Walked past other dogs to heal, recall was great. I came home a proud mummy indeed. On top of that we had fun with the box!

Super pleased with these 2 today- they both went to work with my husband for the first time. They didn't bark or destroy their crates in the truck and stayed close to him in break times .

This completely looks like nothing but today both dogs stopped and watched the family of ducks without trying to get them.

Everyone works at their own pace so there is no pressure. In fact it is important to work at your own dog's speed not that of others.

If you have any questions or are feeling stuck you are encouraged to share them in the Facebook group or in our live Zoom Q&A's and training. You can also share videos for specific feedback. Together we will find a way for you to succeed. It is such a supportive community of understanding like minded people.

This programme is breed specific so helps you understand your dog at his core. There is also a clear framework to help provide clarity with your training.

Alongside the online modules you get personalised help and feedback for your own training by posting in the group. There is also live Q&As to further support your learning and success. Online training also has the advantage of you being able to watch the trainings at times to suit you and as often as you like. Ask other Academy members about their successes.

You can pay monthly and cancel at any time.

Yes, definitely. The training programme is suitable for all cocker owners including puppies and naughty teenagers.

The Cocker Academy costs £27pcm, there is no minimum contract.
